HortWeek Podcast: How public-private partnerships are the key to making BNG a success - with Hampshire Wildlife Trusts and Kingwell

Tune into the HortWeek Podcast series to hear Kingwell's founder Alistair Emery, and John Durnell from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, talk to editor Rachael Forsyth about BNG.

In their interview, Alistair and John set the scene and discuss the aims of Kingwell's Keyhaven site which is the first Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) and Nitrate Neutrality Credits scheme in the New Forest delivered in partnership with New Forest District Council, New Forest National Park Authority and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

Together they also talk about the benefits of BNG from a land owner's point of view and the advantages of developers buying BNG units offsite.

Alistair and John give a fantastic overview of how the BNG initiative is progressing, the teething troubles and why we need to be patient to see this government strategy involve.

This is a great listen for anyone following the progression of BNG. A brilliant discussion with lots of valuable points.
